Paavai Paramedical Institutions organized an Eye Awareness Program in collaboration with Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital on 16th July 2025, from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM, at Pragathi Hall, Paavai Institutions, R. Puliyampatti, Namakkal.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Ms. S. Pooja, IV Pharm.D, Paavai College of Pharmacy and Research. This was followed by the presidential address delivered by Shri CA. N. N. Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions. The felicitation address was given by Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions.

The event was graced by the presence of the principals of various Paavai paramedical institutions:

Around 20 faculty members from the paramedical institutions, along with non-teaching staff from Paavai Institutions, actively participated. Nearly 650 students from various Paavai Paramedical Institutions attended the awareness session.

The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. VishnuPriya, MBBS, M.S (Ophthal), FICO, Senior Consultant – Ophthalmologist, Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, Namakkal Branch. She spoke on the topic “How to Protect Eyes in This Modern Era,” highlighting the importance of vision care, causes of vision loss, and advanced treatments available. She also detailed services offered by the hospital, including Cataract, Glaucoma, Refractive (Lasik), Retina care, Oculoplastic, and other specialized services.

The program concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. R. Sivakumar, Principal, Paavai College of Pharmacy and Research, Namakkal.
