The V Semester B.Sc. Nursing students of Paavai College of Nursing and Research organized an educational field visit to Aavin Milk Dairy, Thalavaipatti, Salem, on 26.03.2026. The main objective of the visit was to understand the processes involved in milk collection, processing, pasteurization, storage, and distribution, as well as to gain knowledge about food safety and hygiene practices.

During the visit, the students were oriented to various sections of the dairy, including milk reception, quality testing, pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging units. The officials explained the importance of maintaining strict hygiene and quality control measures to ensure a safe and nutritious milk supply to the public. Students also learned about cold chain maintenance and the prevention of contamination in dairy products.
