The Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the 9th Batch (2024-2025) B.Sc. Nursing students of Paavai College of Nursing and Research, Pachal, Namakkal, was held on February 10, 2025. Dr. R. Natarajan, M.B.B.S., M.S., Chief Consultant Neurosurgeon and Managing Director of Neuro Foundation Hospital, Salem, was the Chief Guest.
The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Thirumatha, a student of Paavai College of Nursing and Research. The event was presided over by the Chairman of Paavai Group of Educational Institutions, Shri CA. N. V. Natarajan, who delivered the presidential address. The dignitaries then performed the traditional illumination of the students’ lamps.
The Nightingale Pledge was administered by Dr. Hepsi Rachel Charles, M.Sc. (N), Ph.D., Principal of Paavai College of Nursing and Research. The keynote address was delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. R. Natarajan, who emphasized the significance of dedication and compassion in the nursing profession.
The Correspondent of Paavai Group of Institutions, Smt. Mangai Natarajan, felicitated the gathering, appreciating the students for choosing the noble path of nursing. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Vismi Vinod, a student of Paavai College of Nursing and Research.
